MIAMI, FL – Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) continues her advocacy for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States by sending a letter to President Biden.

Miami, Fla. - This week, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-24) voted for legislation appropriating more than $40 billion in additional assistance for Ukraine's fight for democracy. Introduced with bipartisan and bicameral support, this emergency funding will be pivotal in Ukraine's fight, helping to deliver critically needed resources, including military aid, support for the Ukrainian economy and humanitarian assistance to address the worldwide hunger crisis stemming from Russia's invasion.

The Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation (INVEST) in America Act passed by the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee includes the Transportation Equity Act introduced by Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson to re-establish the Advisory Committee on Transportation Equity within the Department of Transportation. This committee would be comprised of community, academic, and government stakeholders to advise the Transportation secretary on policies to promote equity through community engagement and interagency collaboration.

Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson applauded House passage of the "Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation in America (INVEST in America) Act," which includes funding for 11 projects in Florida's 24th congressional district. Rep. Wilson fought to ensure the projects were included in the INVEST in America Act, which makes transformational investments in America's highways, roads, bridges, transit, rail, and water infrastructure to create jobs, modernize our infrastructure and reduce carbon pollution.
