Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed bipartisan legislation introduced by Representatives Frederica Wilson (D-FL), Bill Posey (R-FL), John Culberson (R-TX), Gene Green (D-TX), and Rod Blum (R-IA) to recognize and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing with a commemorative coin. (July 20, 2019 is the actual anniversary.)

Hurricane Matthew could bring life-threatening rain, wind and flooding to Florida. All residents who could be affected are urged to take steps to ensure that they and their families are prepared. There also should be in place a plan for pets.

Use the Federal Emergency Management Agency's mobile app (www.fema.gov/mobile-app) for disaster resources, weather alerts, and safety tips, which are available in both English and Spanish. It includes a checklist of emergency supplies, maps of shelters and recovery centers, and survival tips.

(Miami, Florida) - A bipartisan congressional delegation comprised of Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-FL) and Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) will travel to Haiti on Saturday, October 29, 2016, and return to Miami on Sunday, October 30, 2016, on a commercial flight.
