Miami, FL - Congresswoman Frederica S. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Federal Courthouse located at 299 East Broward Boulevard, 4^th Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Family, friends and constituents are invited to witness Representatives Wilson, Wasserman Schultz and Frankel be sworn-in as Members of the 114^th Congress.

At a December 9 Subcommittee on Workforce Protections hearing on how Department of Labor regulations impact workers and employers, Ranking Member Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) extolled DOL's efforts to ensure that more American workers have the protections they need to build better lives for themselves and their families.

Wilson (FL-24) congratulates the Miami-Dade County Police Department (MDPD) on being awarded a $1,000,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to help reduce crime and violence in the county's highest crime area, the Northside District. Today, Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) introduced the Paycheck Fairness Act as an amendment during a U.S. House of Representatives Education and Workforce Committee hearing. The Paycheck Fairness Act provides women with the ability to fight wage discrimination and closes loopholes that have allowed employers to avoid taking responsibility for discriminatory pay. This bill demands equal pay for equal work.
