Congresswoman Wilson Announces Community Project Funding Application Process
Miami, Fla. – Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-24) announced the process for applying for community project funding in her congressional district for fiscal year 2025. Every year, different entities in the community can apply for federal funding to fund a community project or activity in their respective congressional district. Entities can check their congressional district by visiting www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative.
Only the following entities may apply for funding under the community-focused grant program:
- State, local, and tribal governments
- Publicly owned entities (e.g. ports, universities, PUDs, etc.)
- Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
For Fiscal Year 2025, according to the U.S. Appropriations Committee, Non-profit organizations are not eligible for the HUD - Economic Development Initiatives Account.
