Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson Statement Remembering Rep. C.W. Bill Young

Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) issued the following statement remembering Rep. C.W. Bill Young (FL-13), who was in his 22nd term in Congress and previously served as Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations:

"Congressman Young was regarded as a wise elder statesman during my time in the Florida Legislature and the US House of Representatives. He loved Florida deeply, leading him to commit himself to a life of public service. He also loved America's soldiers and veterans, which is why he made their wellbeing a central pursuit of his career. He will also be remembered as a kind and considerate man and an effective legislator. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."
