MIAMI, FL – Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.), will participate in the 38th Annual 2012 North Miami Winternational Thanksgiving Day Parade, at 10:00am, on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2012. The parade will be held in Downtown North Miami, starting at NE 5th Avenue. This is South Florida’s only Thanksgiving Day Parade and the theme this year celebrates and salutes the “American Spirit.” “Thanksgiving Day is a time to reflect and give thanks for family, friends and our communities. What better way to exemplify the “American Spirit”, than a parade to bring the community together. Also, let us open up our hearts and remember the less fortunate. I wish everyone a safe and joyous holiday,” says Congresswoman Wilson. ### U.S. Rep. Frederica S. Wilson is a first-term Congresswoman from Florida representing parts of Northern Miami-Dade and Southeast Broward counties. A former state legislator and school principal, she is the founder of the 5000 Role Models for Excellence Project, a mentoring program for young males at risk of dropping out of school. |
