Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) issued the following statement on the Supreme Court’s ruling on Arizona’s immigration law:
“While the Supreme Court struck down most of Arizona’s controversial immigration law, it let stand the ‘Show Me Your Papers’ provision that allows law enforcement to racially profile Latino-Americans. This ruling proves that we need comprehensive immigration reform, not separate laws for each state. I call upon my Republican colleagues in Congress to support comprehensive immigration reform, including passing the DREAM Act into law.”
