Today, Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24), issued the following statement regarding recent anti-Israel comments by a Democratic Congressional member: "While I commend and appreciate the subsequent retraction made by my Democratic colleague, I am deeply concerned. The rise in anti-Israel rhetoric continues to fuel divisiveness throughout our nation, resulting in a record number of attacks against our Jewish community—including in District 24, my district of South Florida. “I want to remind my colleagues that words have consequences, and we should be mindful of the language we use about our democratic allies. I stand with the State of Israel. I stand with our Jewish community both at home and abroad and I stand against antisemitism.” ### |
