Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) issued the following statement on the terrorist attack on an Israeli tour bus in Bulgaria that killed at least seven people and injured dozens of others: “I am shocked and saddened about the terrorist attack on Israeli tourists in Bulgaria. While we do not yet know who is responsible, it is appalling that there are still people in this world who are so filled with hatred that they target innocent civilians like this. On the 18th anniversary of the 1994 AMIA bombing in Buenos Aires, we were reminded that anti-Semitism still exists in the most extreme of forms. I want to extend my thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims, and to express my solidarity with the people of Israel and Bulgaria during this difficult time.” |
