Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-17) today issued the following statement congratulating the Space Shuttle Discovery on completing its last mission, STS-133:
“Today I congratulate the crew of Discovery and all the hardworking men and women of NASA and the Kennedy Space Center on a job well done. Over the course of 39 missions spanning a quarter century, Discovery has furthered our knowledge of the world we live in and pushed the limits of scientific understanding. As we close this chapter of human space exploration, let us renew our commitment to our nation’s space program and continue breaking new barriers in scientific discovery. I wish Space Shuttle Endeavor similar success on its April voyage.”
Congresswoman Wilson is a first-term member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology and a member of the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics.
