Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24), member of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus and Congressional Democratic Israel Working Group Caucus, released the following statement reacting to the Resolution to stand with Israel.

“Today, Congress set aside partisanship and stood in solidarity with Israel during a time of significant hardship for the nation. Hundreds of Israelis have lost their lives at the hands of Hamas. To this day, Hamas still holds Israeli and American hostages, perpetuating fear among the people. I am proud to vote for the bipartisan resolution to let the world know the United States stands with Israel. Democrats and Republicans understand the dire situation in Israel, and we must stand with one of our closest allies. This resolution states loudly that when Israel is strong, America is strong. Our national security and commitment to democracy and freedom depend on our support for Israel. I am pleased to see the House of Representatives united in standing with Israel. I look forward to allocating the necessary funds to ensure Israel’s self-defense against all attacks.”
