Wilson to Host Census 2020 Job and Resource Fair

Miami, FL – On Thursday, January 23, 2020, Congresswoman Wilson and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara Jordan will host a job and resource fair for the 2020 Census. They will be joined by representatives from the United States Census Bureau and Career Source South Florida.

"This event will help achieve two important goals: raise awareness about Census 2020 and its purpose and provide access to employment opportunities related to the decennial count of the population," said Rep. Wilson. "It is imperative that everyone in District 24, and indeed, the nation, is counted so that every community gets its fair share of critical resources and apportionment."

In addition to a brief presentation by Census Bureau representatives on community resources and related employment opportunities, there will be several computer stations available for attendees to apply online for local employment opportunities. Available positions include clerks, census takers and field supervisors, enumerators/listers, recruiting assistants, and office operation supervisors.
