Who really represents you in South Florida?

Bottom Line: There comes a time and a place in which politics as usual isn't acceptable. Right here, right now – in the middle of a presidential election cycle in which an overt socialist is the leader of a major political party is a time when it's much bigger than usual left-right politics. It doesn't just accidentally happen that a socialist wins the most votes in states as diverse as Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada. It's part of a bigger picture and issue within that party. It also suggests the socialists may be right here among us in South Florida. Perhaps just not so overt and bold as Bernie to tell the truth about who and what they are...Opinions without facts to back them up are worth what you pay for them. And in my view so are the hollow condemnations by South Florida Representatives like Donna Shalala and Debbie Murcasel-Powell. Why do I saw hollow? First, for them or anyone to act the least bit surprised by the Bern's support for Castro's policies is at best an admission that they're completely ignorant as to decades worth of their colleague's statements and positions. And if that's the defense, what else are they dangerously ignorant about as they represent us in congress? Now let me put their voting records to the test by providing the percentage of the time these members of Congress vote in line with Donald Trump's position.

Bernie Sanders: 12.6%

That's your socialist baseline for this conversation. So where do you think South Florida's Democrats in congress rank? How often do you think they vote in line with Trump's position?

First let's start by using Speaker Nancy Pelosi as the baseline. Here's Nancy's rate: 18.1%.

To the right of Bernie – yes, but not that much. Again, there aren't moderates left in the Democrat party. But here's what should really blow your mind. Every South Florida Democrat is to the left of San Francisco's Nancy Pelosi.

Lois Frankel: 14.2%

Ted Deutch: 13.8%

Debbie-Wasserman Shultz: 12.4%

Frederica Wilson: 10.5%

Alcee Hastings: 9.2%

DebbieMurcasel-Powell: 4.4%

Donna Shalala 4.4%

What's more is that Wilson, Hastings and especially Murcasel-Powell and Shalala are significantly to the left of Bernie Sanders! In short, the elected Democrats in South Florida are among the most radical in the country – even when compared to their socialist party leader. This is why their words for Bernie's positions are weak in my book. Their voting records speak for who they really are. Many South Florida Democrats have long played a game of sounding reasonable in soundbites but not when it comes to their record. This illustrates who this people really are...radicals in sheep's clothing.
