What: Where Something Red Wednesday to #BringBackOurGirls

Led by Rep. Wilson, Leader Pelosi, Chairwoman McMorris Rodgers, and Reps. Maloney and Ros-Lehtinen, Wear Something Red Wednesdays to #BringBackOurGirls is a weekly campaign that aims to ensure that the Nigerian girls abducted by Boko Haram, and still missing after 470 days, are not forgotten and to maintain pressure on the Nigerian government to honor its pledge to defeat the terrorist organization. It includes a group photo that members post on social media to show their support and an opportunity to interview lawmakers for whom this issue continues to be a priority.

"Last week, Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari, made his first visit to the U.S. as the West African nation's new leader, and met with President Obama and congressional lawmakers. I was able to share with him visual evidence of our ongoing commitment to aid his administration's efforts to rescue the girls who are still missing and to end Boko Haram's terrorist activities," said Rep. Wilson. "I am hoping that we can send a powerful message on the last Wear Something Red Wednesday of the summer with our biggest turnout yet and make a commitment to continue this important campaign when we return in September."
