U.S. Representatives Frederica S. Wilson, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Lois Frankel to Participate in South Florida Swearing-in Ceremony

Miami, FL — Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24), Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23), and Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) will participate in a local swearing-in ceremony at 9:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Federal Courthouse located at 299 East Broward Boulevard, 4th Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Family, friends and constituents are invited to witness Representatives Wilson, Wasserman Schultz and Frankel be sworn-in as Members of the 114th Congress.

"I look forward to standing with my Congressional colleagues to be sworn-in before family, friends, and constituents as we take the oath of office.

"I am honored to have been elected by the people of the 24th Congressional District for a third term to be their voice in the United States House of Representatives. I will continue to fight for better paying jobs and putting Americans back to work, economic development, immigration reform, and affordable and quality healthcare and education.

Congresswoman Wilson will continue to serve on the House Education and the Workforce Committee as well as the Science, Space and Technology Committee.

Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson is a third-term Congresswoman from Florida representing parts of Northern Miami-Dade and Southeast Broward counties. A former state legislator and school principal, she is the founder of the 5000 Role Models for Excellence Project, a mentoring program for young males at risk of dropping out of school. Congresswoman Wilson also founded the Florida Ports Caucus, a bipartisan taskforce that coordinates federal action in support of Florida's harbors and waterways.
