Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) voted to protect affordable healthcare for all Americans, as the House Republicans attempted for the 31st time in the 112th Congress to repeal or defund the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.
Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) voted to protect affordable healthcare for all Americans, as the House Republicans attempted for the 31st time in the 112th Congress to repeal or defund the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. “We should not have to worry about having to file for bankruptcy just because someone in our family gets sick,” said Congresswoman Wilson. “Because of Obamacare – because President Obama cares – every American has access to affordable healthcare. Because I care, I voted against this Republican repeal that would take away the basic human right to affordable healthcare.” Because of Obamacare, in Congresswoman Wilson’s district:
“As members of Congress, we have a wonderful health plan, and we should want nothing less for our constituents,” Congresswoman Wilson said. “And yet, the Republicans are voting for the 31st time to repeal or defund the Affordable Care Act, and they are attempting to take away these critical protections.” |
