Congresswoman Wilson’s Statement on ‘Yes’ Vote to House Israel Aid Bill

Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-24) released the following statement in regard to the House Israel Aid bill, to which Congresswoman Wilson voted in favor of:

“Setting aside our partisan differences, Congress has come together once again to vote in a bipartisan fashion to aid Israel during this tumultuous time for the Israeli people. The conflict with Hamas has not only devastated the Middle East but has also sent shockwaves throughout the world with its atrocities, including in my community in South Florida. Hamas seeks to instill fear globally, holding both Israeli and American hostages captive. Today, I stand proud to join my colleagues in voting to allocate resources to assist Israel in combating terrorism in the Middle East and to protect Americans in the region. It is imperative that we remain steadfast in supporting one of our strongest allies, especially during such a critical period, because when Israel is strong, America is strong.”

“In addition to supporting Israel, we must not overlook the needs of our other allies worldwide and our domestic needs. I hope we also prioritize addressing our broken immigration system, funding for Ukraine, and humanitarian aid to Palestine in another Congressional package shortly. However, with the clock ticking for Israel, we cannot let the perfect be the enemy of the good, and right now, Israel needs our support, and I stand with Israel.”
