Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) was sworn into the 114th United States Congress today to begin her third term as the United States Representative for Florida’s 24th Congressional District. The Congresswoman issued the following statement:

“I am honored to have been elected by the people of the 24th Congressional District for a third term to be their voice in the United States House of Representatives. I will continue to fight for better paying jobs and putting Americans back to work, economic development, immigration reform, and affordable and quality healthcare and education.

“As the representative for one of the most diverse districts in the country, I am working for my constituents and the American people who need Congress to put aside partisan politics and work together to improve the quality of life for all of the citizens of this great nation.

“Let us move forward with the lessons from yesterday as a guide to build a better tomorrow,” said Congresswoman Wilson.

Congresswoman Wilson will continue to serve on the House Education and the Workforce Committee as well as the Science, Space and Technology Committee.
