Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) issued the following statement for Teacher Appreciation Week:
“As a former second grade teacher at Lillie C. Evans Elementary School and principal of Skyway Elementary School, I want to thank all the teachers in District 17 personally during Teacher Education Week for all they do to educate our children. Thank you for helping to mold the next generation, for being role models to your students and the community, and for giving so much of your time and effort toward one of the most demanding yet rewarding careers there is. I wish every week could be Teacher Appreciation Week. As a fellow educator, mother and grandmother – thank you!”
