Congresswoman Wilson to Co-Host Event Honoring Recipients of 2012 International Women of Courage Award

Today, U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) announced that she and colleagues of hers on the Global Health Caucus are co-hosting an event on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, honoring the recipients of the 2012 International Women of Courage Award.

Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) announced that she and colleagues of hers on the Global Health Caucus are co-hosting an event on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, honoring the recipients of the 2012 International Women of Courage Award. Since 2007, the State Department has marked International Women’s Day by recognizing and honoring the many women who have demonstrated outstanding courage and leadership in advocating for human rights, social justice and women’s equality. Congresswoman Wilson will be joining U.S. Reps. Betty McCollum (D-Minn.), Dave Reichert (R.-Wash.), Gwen Moore (D.-Wis.), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) and Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) to honor the award recipients.
