Congresswoman Wilson Announces $76,500 in Research Funding for the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) announced a $76,500 grant for the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine in support of research on the mechanism of MAPK cytoplasmic retention in differentiation of ES cells.

“I’m pleased to announce this critical funding for the UM School of Medicine,” said Congresswoman Wilson. “As a member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, I believe supporting research and development in the sciences is vital for our nation’s future. I look forward to UM and other South Florida institutions continuing to receive these important grants.”

The grant was awarded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development at the National Institutes of Health, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
