U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) announced today that she is hosting a discussion of Black Americans in Congress and the African-American experience in Congress on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in 2325 Rayburn House Office Building. Former Congressman Ron Dellums (D-Calif.) – one of the founding members of the Congressional Black Caucus – will share his experience from his 13 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, and House Historian Matt Wasniewski will discuss the book Black Americans in Congress and contributions of notable African-Americans who served in the House.
