Frederica Wilson Hosts "Tele Town Hall and Congress on Your Corner on the Future of Medicare"Conversation with Seniors and Medicare Policy Experts on the Future of Medicare Over 300,000 Medicare Recipients Live in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties Alone Rep. Frederica Wilson today announced that she will hold a joint live/tele town hall on the future of Medicare. The forum will be an opportunity for constituents to get answers to questions they may have about Medicare, the pillar of our society safety net. Who/What:Rep. Frederica Wilson hosts “Tele Town Hall and Congress on Your Corner on the Future of Medicare.” Rep Wilson will be joined on the call by Hugo Huapaya, Health Insurance Specialist at the Miami office of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Vicki Gottlich, Senior Policy Advisor at the Center for Medicare Advocacy. The Center provides a wide array of comprehensive services for adults ages 60 and older, including case management; job assistance; emergency food, rental, and utility payment assistance; HIV/AIDS testing; health services; and outreach. The Center aims to enhance the ability of senior citizens to maintain their independence; improve socialization skills; access counseling; and secure medical, housing, and legal aid.
