On Thursday April 28th, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-17) will hold a 17th District Forum with local leaders to discuss the findings of the recent Gallup-Healthways Annual “Well Being Index” assessing the overall well-being of congressional districts across the nation. The study indicates that District 17 is the lowest ranking congressional district in the nation in its life evaluation index. Concerned about these findings, Congresswoman Wilson will convene local municipality and community leaders to determine the specific health needs of the community and identify ways to address these needs. She will be joined by Mr. Jason Milton, Senior Consultant for Gallup, who will explain the findings of the study and will be available to answer questions about the index.

“I was born in Overtown, raised in Liberty City, and have called this community home my entire life. The well-being of my constituents is the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I think about when I go to sleep at night,” said Congresswoman Wilson.

“I am convening the first-of-its-kind 17th District Forum to assess the health needs of our community and chart a path forward.
