Rep. Frederica Wilson (FL-17) today issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s State of the Union address:
“Tonight, the President put forth an optimistic blueprint for where this country needs to go. He spoke about ‘winning the future’ and creating competitive U.S. jobs for the 21st-century; this is a vision both Republicans and Democrats should embrace wholeheartedly.
“The President rightly spoke about making meaningful investments in education, innovation, and infrastructure to create jobs. That is the solution we need to turn the corner from recovery to economic growth. As we continue our work and shared responsibility of creating jobs, let us remember the President’s clear vision for a more prosperous future.”
Rep. Wilson intends to work towards these goals as a newly-appointed member of the Subcommittee on Technology and Innovation on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology
